Biker boy-girls

Thanks to Kingdom of Style, I discovered the studding work of No Discount whose heavy-metalled biker jackets (above) are causing a flurry of excitement in the bloggersphere. While this season may be all about the aviator jacket, SS11 is set to be a season for biker grrrls or, more accurately, biker boy-girls if Burberry Prorsum and Balenciaga are anything to go by. Hopefully, we all have a biker jacket in our possession by now so it’s just a matter of restyling (although I do love the proportions of the Balenciaga one *sigh*)…

Keep on prepping

Some people may be bored of the whole Ivy League/preppie/heritage trend, but not I. So allow me to share the news that Urban Outfitters has collaborated with student outfitters J. Press to produce this lovely array of college-y bits. Sadly, I fear this is only available Stateside, otherwise those perfectly tapered trousers, plaid Harrington and natty blazer would be mine for keeps.

Bubbling under: 3D Flower nails

Trend forecasters suggest that the popularity of elaborate nail art is all down to our smartphone addictions (although how one taps those touch screens with inch-long talons is beyond me) – our nails are on show as never before. Tokyo is the breeding ground for the latest madcap manicures and apparently, 3D nails are the next big thing. Even T magazine’s Sally Singer is addicted; for the European fashion weeks, she opted for an elegant handful of miniature 3D roses in off-white gloss.

What do you think of 3D flower nails – eek or chic?
