A new exhibition, On aime l’art is showing fashion designer Agnès b’s spectacular contemporary art collection, which includes this painting by Jean-Michel Basquiat, who she befriended shortly before he died. (Sotheby’s recently sold Basquiat’s 1982 painting, Untitled, for $110,500,000, the highest price to date for any American artist at auction.) (more…)

The Shop at Bluebird (retail porn for aesthetes) and the Fashion Illustration Gallery are going large on last year’s Fashion Illustration Gallery Art Fair (FIGAF), extending it over 3 days at the King’s Road emporium.

On my radar: Violette



Estee Lauder new Global Beauty Director Violette

A great hire by Estee Lauder, they have appointed French MUA, Violette (whose YouTube channel I’ll admit I hadn’t seen until now) as their Global Beauty Director.

I just love the ‘real’ way she films herself doing her make-up, fly-on-the-wall style without looking at the camera. (more…)
