Buy it now: the My-wardrobe edit



This has been quite the year for My-wardrobe. It’s changed it’s remit to offer a more mixed hi-lo edit, with a stable of Brit designers in its ‘London Lab‘ sitting alongside our international favourites. There’s a ton of Carven (hello wool gazar bell-shaped skirt) and an injection of Kurt Geiger London amongst core My-wardrobe brands like Joseph, DVF and Goat.

Huishan Zhang: China’s young luxury modernist

Huishan Zhang’s signature embroidery is based on an interlocking figure of eight, which in his native China is the luckiest of numbers. Who knows if this helped the fledgling designer’s recent win of the coveted £25k Dorchester Collection Fashion Prize? On closer inspection, it’s more likely the clincher was his impeccably-cut dresses (he trained at the Dior couture atelier) and decorative ways with crystal-covered lace. (more…)

Is the Isabel Marant for H&M collab likely to be the most popular yet? It’s possible. I’ve seen the goods up close and they’ve done a great job of including the Marant signatures – from mannish coats to second-skin leather cigarette pants, to simple stiletto pumps. (more…)
