Funny isn’t it… You could spend thousands on flying superstar teams to exotic locales for a mediocre campaign or stay put and shoot these beauties in your own factory. Here’s the SS14 Margaret Howell campaign shot by regular collaborator Koto Bolofo… (more…)

Gap’s Lived-In campaign by David Sims

1 Gap-campaign-Theophilus-London

Just in this week: Gap‘s new Spring 14 campaign shot by David Sims. Everyone shows ‘real people’ style these days but Gap did it first and best. This collection is focused on Gap’s iconic pieces – khakis, denim and tees – given a relaxed, ‘Lived-In’ quality. It’s the first full collection by Rebekka Bay, Gap’s new Creative Director who joined from COS. (more…)

Raf Simons’ SS14 ad campaign has landed (and the first new season drop)

The Raf Simons SS14 campaign images are in! And although those boots are doing nothing for me, I absolutely love the half-half effect of the headshot and landscape graphics. The campaign was shot in Antwerp by Willy Vanderperre and styled by Olivier Rizzo…

Sofia Coppola goes goth for Louis Vuitton ad campaign

Sofia-Coppola-Louis-Vuitton-SS14

Here’s Sofia Coppola modelling for Marc Jacobs’ last ever Louis Vuitton campaign. The SS14 images have just broken and were shot by Steven Meisel and styled by Karl Templer with Guido Palau and Pat McGrath on hair and make-up duty.

Marc Jacobs rallied a few of his favourite muses to model for the campaign, chiming with the prevailing trend of the last few seasons for an all-ages approach to fashion (Edie Campbell, Catherine Deneuve and Fan Bingbing also feature).

Sofia Coppola rarely lends her face to ad campaigns and I so admire her for this. Instead she works with designers who she is genuinely friends with, hence those Marc Jacobs fragrance campaigns we all love, and this slightly goth-y Vuitton one.
