I finally made the pilgrimage to Sephora UK! It was good but not as epic as I’d built it up to be. I really like the self-service element – it feels like the only truly self-service beauty store where the advisors aren’t poised to ambush you. And the brand curation is well executed – a good combo of Gen Z buzzy new brands and proven classics. There was a queue, but with literally less than five people in it. (more…)
Here’s a quick suncare heads-up. This Shiseido X Roxy SPF set* (above) has arrived at John Lewis and it’s a very good buy for topping up your SPF if you’re out and about.
The mini size (20ml) Clear Suncare Stick SPF50+ Very High Protection works under and over make-up and its clear formulation obviously means there’s no issue with blending it in. As well as protecting against UVA and UVB rays, it offers skin moisturising properties and is suitable for combination, dry, normal, oily and sensitive skins. Love the idea of BareMinerals’ sun protection in a powder formulation – with an in-built brush. This solves the problem of how to reapply facial sun-pro during the working day, and also doubles as a de-shining device. I’m sold.
