All I want for Christmas is… Selfridges’ beauty advent calendar

Selfridges L'Oreal advent calendar

Each window houses Selfridges’ most popular beauty products in a dinky miniature size, including Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil, Lancôme Teint Miracle and Mini Juicy Tube, YSL Belle D’Opium, Kiehls Creme de Corps and Emporio Armani Diamonds. These sold out in double quick time last year so I really hope Selfridges has upped its order this year.

Introducing Browns’ ‘Melissa’ handbag (and some other nan bags I’m eyeballing)

During my recent two-day residency at Browns, alongside the Club Monaco knits and Celine sunglasses, I couldn’t help cuddling a particular little lady-bag in pebbled grey leather. It turned out this classic, structured number is a new member of the Browns family – the very first own-label handbag. (more…)

What Moleskine did next

Moleskine is for the Paperchase addict who grew up but never stopped loving stationery. Along with the library-leisure trend, the current stationery obsession is another parallel to the digital revolution. Technology freaks like paper too! Moleskine has been slowly building its empire with expensive beautiful, no-frills products. Here are some of my favourites:

Clip-on pens and pencils
Moleskine Pencils, Roller Pens, Slip-on grips

Bigger A4 hardback notebooks and sketchbooks

iPad cases. These are great as you can position your notepad on the left or right, depending on whether you’re left or right-handed. I spotted one first in a meeting with the unstoppable Chris Morton from Lyst and have been looking out for them ever since (only compatible with first generation iPads though).
