Paul Smith – the Instagram tour

Sir Paul Smith, and his lovely design team invited a few of us to kickstart Monday the right way, at 7am at his studio for a sunrise breakfast walk around some of his favourite spots in London. Here’s a photograph I took on my iPhone this morning. Cheers to team Paul Smith. @paulsmithdesign

Last Monday I was invited to a special breakfast at Paul Smith’s Covent Garden HQ at the painful hour of 7am. I might have attempted it but I had to be at the WIRED Retail conference on the other side of town that morning. *WEEPS AND WAILS* But here’s why it was special. Following breakfast and a meet-n-greet, the invited attendees were led by Sir Paul himself on an #Instameet tour of Covent Garden, ending at the Paul Smith store in Floral Street. (more…)

Buy it now: Topman’s top coats

Seriously loving Topman’s current coat campaign. This winter its focus is on classic men’s coats that have their roots in menswear tailoring heritage. The updated navy mac (£90) and houndstooth single breasted number (£90, above) are my favourites, and the camel overcoat (just don’t call it a Crombie) would be perfect if it was a bit longer. Note that Topman sizes start at an XXS (just saying). (more…)
