Next Thursday and Saturday I’ll be returning to my shop girl roots to take part in the Blogger Style Series event with Club Monaco and Browns. Browns was the boutique that every fashion obsessive worshipped when I was growing up in the late 80s – all the major (and minor-but-promising) labels were stocked there. (more…)



The L.A. diaries part 3



My third and final day in L.A. (back in March I hasten to add, I’m back in Blighty now) brought yet more cobalt blue sky and incessant sunshine. And the grand finale of the trip, the filming of the main rollerskating scene for the Lucozade ad. Oh how I wish I could say I was plucked from the watching crowd, ‘wardrobed’ in hotpants and gold quads and given a masterclass in whirling on wheels. (more…)



Lizzy Disney handbags



I really have no business lusting after handbags when I have more bags than I can possibly carry in this lifetime. But Lizzy Disney’s (great name!) envelope bags are worth getting in a tizzy about. I love their slim, angular proportions and rich neutral colour palette – black, camel, red. And each bag is hand made in this lovely leather that will age oh-so-beautifully. (more…)



THE L.A. DIARIES PART 2



After just one day in L.A. on my Lucozade adventure, I could totally get why the Brits are so taken with it. Cloudless skies on repeat and being driven everywhere – what’s not to love? It was decided to spend the morning at the Getty Centre – a place I had no idea existed. When I think of L.A. I think rollerskating, Hollywood blockbusters and Paris Hilton. Art, architecture and horticulture? Not so much. (more…)
