Fabulousity: A night you’ll never forget…or remember!

Coming to East London this Thursday for one night only is the exhibition, ‘Fabulousity: A night you’ll never forget…or remember!’. Showcasing the previously unseen photos of the 1990s New York Club Kids by Alexis Dibiasio (think Michael Alig et al), the exhibition will travel to Milan in late September for Fashion Week, followed by the US & Japan. The latest in-store and marketing campaign Back To Blue has already arrived, celebrating true blue denim in all its forms. Coming soon – the Marques’Almeida pop-up shop in Hackney. Blink and you’ll miss it cos it’s only open from 28th August to 1st September. I’m not sure what it’ll sell but I’d say it’s worth a nose anyway. Remember, these are the guys responsible for all the ripped-to-shreds denim we’ve been enjoying for the last few seasons and the grungy crenellated heels that will dominate the next six months. There’s no denying that everyday style has impacted luxury, high street and street wear brands alike in a big way. And especially in the way that a “we’re inclusive” brand message can be disseminated across all visual social platforms.

Burberry arguably kicked the whole thing off with its beautifully executed Art Of the Trench site (with over 22 million page views from fans in over 200 countries to date) and in varying ways, Jimmy Choo, Salvatore Ferragamo, Hermes, Armani and Amanda Wakeley have taken the personal style ball and run with it. But still, no-one does it better than Burberry. This week, its Art Of The Trench concept arrives at Printemps in Paris, complete with an in-store photo installation celebrating chic Parisians as well as a pop-up of exclusive Burberry product.
