Camille Miceli’s dopamine-drenched collection for Emilio Pucci has dropped
Emilio Pucci has just landed in its latest guise envisioned by new artistic director Camille Miceli.
Launched with a series of ‘activations’ in Capri to cement its legacy as a lifestyle brand, the see-now-buy-now collection’s dolce vita vibe gels well with the opening up of travel and tourism. ““It has to be about enjoying life, especially after all we’ve gone through,” Miceli told Vogue.
While there’s a fair amount of post-Covid casualwear (read: printed leggings), I’d have liked a few more contemporary silhouettes. But the classic scarf print shirts, kaftans, cushions and shorts are beautifully timeless while serving the required dose of dopamine dressing to a new generation of Pucci stans. More lifestyle and homeware products are coming later (Pucci print backgammon boards!).
With a history working alongside such design greats as Azzedine Alaïa, Raf Simons and Nicolas Ghesquière, Miceli’s focus on “joy and well-being” is hoped to elevate Pucci with renewed relevance – and commercial clout.
Part one of the collection just dropped at Mytheresa. Buy it here* and see more here.
