[UPDATED] Shop the post: Uniqlo +J by Jil Sander is back

I was brutally critical of the last Uniqlo X Jil Sander collection. I tried on a few pieces in store, found the cut and quality lacking and didn’t give it a second chance. That was 11 years ago. Now it’s time for Uniqlo +J mark two.
The men’s and women’s collection launches just launched in stores and online on 12th November and looks flawless. Prices range from £24.90 to £299. My standouts are the Hybrid Down Short Coat* (£159.90) and Hybrid Down Jacket* (£109.90), the Cashmere Blend Collarless Coat* (£199.90), the Fine Gauge Cashmere Crew Neck* (£89.90) and the Supima Cotton Stand Collar Shirt* (£34.90). The trousers sound promising but I can’t see them properly on the model.
Interesting, but not altogether surprising that there’s no athleisure or ‘bleisure‘ (business-leisure) wear included, as while they may be Covid-relevant, sweats were never a Sander thing. But overall it looks timeless and well made and should chime with the current ‘elevated basics’ zeitgeist.
