Perfect pairing: Levi’s and Agnès b
The clocks just went back so I’m bracing myself for the next few months of brutal weather (alongside everything else). Come on Britain, we can get through this! My cold weather coping strategies? Sweaters, blankets and sugar. I don’t really have any major vices, so I’ll be drowning my lockdown sorrows in Dr Pepper and Tony’s Chocolonely chocolate. Oh and I found the perfect oversize sweater last spring that’s going to be my constant companion for winter – Agnès b’s cashmere AB jumper.
Nothing fussy, just a proper boyfriend cut in heavyweight cashmere that’s loose enough to tuck in. I have the red (a gift), but the off-white and beige are equally wonderful. Even though off-white seems impractical, I think it’s so uplifting in dull winter light, especially with a white tee or shirt collar underneath. Likewise for the red, which I’m definitely going to need. Buy it here (and check out the full colour spectrum).
I wear my Agnès b cashmere jumper with – what else – Levi’s 501s. Not just any 501s, these are the Levi’s Made & Crafted 501 Crop jeans in ‘raw indigo’, which is a nice true dark blue that fades naturally. No fake whiskers or weird details required! They’re made using ‘96% less water than standard finishing techniques’ and have 1% stretch but it’s not noticeable, so if you like an old-school rigid feel that softens with wear, then these are the ones. I have four on rotation now. They seem to come and go but there are some here and here*.
In other knitwear news, my sweater guru, Gucci Westman posted the ultimate knitwear guide on her Insta. We both like similar classic styles (a high neckline is crucial) and I agree with all her knit choices.

Wow, they’re so so lovely. Although I’m more merino person than cashmere, colourings of Agnès b’s jumper is great. I want to have a neutral tone jumper this A/W and still searching.
