London Fashion Week AW18
NYFW has wrapped and London is the latest port of call on the Fashion Month schedule. My New York highlights (from the comfort of my phone obvs) have been The Row, Raf Simons and Gabriela Hearst’s executive realness (you know how I feel about caps rn). Not to mention Raf’s jacket when he rocked up at the Marc Jacobs show…

London has had a lacklustre few seasons and more than ever the spotlight seems to be on consumer-facing events than playing to the industry. Example: Mulberry is hosting a series of public talks and workshops tomorrow and Sunday at Spencer House, SW1 to toot its craftmanship horn and give enthusiasts a closer look. It’s a riff on what Burberry has done successfully in the recent past and will include a retail pop-up space, a tour of the stately home, and an enticing-sounding Mulberry Palm Room tea house. Click here for info and to shop the see-now-buy-now collection at 4pm GMT today.
Meanwhile, London Fashion Weekend has evolved into the London Fashion Week Festival, which takes place next weekend. There are some pretty crowd-pleasing talks taking place, with speakers including Daphne Guinness, The Gal-Dem Collective and Fiorucci CEO Janie Schaffer.
I don’t have a Burberry ticket this time as it’s Christopher Bailey’s final show and is oversubscribed. But I do know it’s being dedicated to the LGBQT community so it will definitely be one to watch via live stream. I’m hoping for a disco medley by the South Wales Gay Men’s Chorus!
I’ll be covering LFW on Instagram and Instagram Stories so come and follow me here…
