Astley Clarke has found a gem in its new creative director Dominic Jones. His story is an interesting one. He got off to a bright beginning with his anti-establishment jewellery designs and it-crowd inner circle (think early 2010s Alice Dellal, Daisy Lowe and co), then ten collections in, he shut up shop. As a self-confessed knitwear addict, aw12 is looking most exciting – may I draw your attention to Rochas and Acne for starters? I’m also happy to see so many kilts and mid heels appearing – possibly the after-effects of our Jubilee summer. For the August-to-September transition, I like this Chanel ‘Holiday’ nail polish – an optimistic all-year-round shade that looks like summer in a bottle.
