First look: Chris&Tibor documentary of ss11 campaign (with interviews by me!)

Back in September, bag designers Chris&Tibor asked me to help them make a mini documentary about their SS11 campaign shoot. I did all the interviews and am super-happy with the results. I was particularly nervous excited about interviewing photographer Kai Z Feng whose work I admire and who has already achieved an impressive level of success. I loved his attitude and insights into how he works (in a nutshell: go with the flow).

Chris&Tibor are a really exciting emerging brand who are big on collaborations (remember the Walter van Bierendonck Rocketman backpack?). For SS11 they have collaborated on a womenswear line with artist Stuart Semple – check it out on the new website.  Oh, and let me know what you think of the vid…

New in at THE OUTNET: Alexander Wang

Theoutnet.com has a new look and it’s celebrating with a huge drop of Alexander Wang. It’s quite a haul with some instantly recognisable SS10 pieces selling at up to 65% off. Any takers for these…?

Leather insert sweatshirt dress: now £252 (60% off)

Rocco mini duffle leather bag: now £435 (50% off)

Lattice-knit sweater: now £180.25 (65% off)

Canvas and leather parka: now £379.75 (65% off)

Alas, no sign of the lethal Wang cateye sunnies – yet. In other  news, Theoutnet’s s mobile-enabled website arrives on November 30th. Be very afraid.

Best dressed bottles

Am I mad for liking this Sonia by Sonia Rykiel fragrance just for the packaging?

And this one? The bottles come packaged in cardboard coffee cups inspired by Magnolia Bakery and are then sealed in a brown paper bag. Too damn cute!

I also love Viktor & Rolf’s Flowerbomb packaging for the festive season – the limited edition rose gold bottle is dressed in its own frou-fro tulle skirt, a la the gowns in the SS10 show. The juice smells just as sweet…
