Here’s the latest weekly DRG STYLE INDEX ranking, a round-up of the brands currently buzzing on my radar…
1. MICHAEL BASTIAN LAUNCHES WOMENSWEAR
Spotted on Insta: Michael Bastian is launching womenswear and I need these chinos in my life…
2. FREDERIC MALLE TO BURLINGTON ARCADE
Burlington Arcade will soon be smelling that little bit sweeter with the imminent arrival of its latest addition. Frederic Malle is about to move in, upping the luxe factor considerably.
3. FIRST LOOK AT LEMAIRE FOR UNIQLO
The Lemaire for Uniqlo LifeWear pics have been unveiled and they tell us…not very much at all! This is a promising collection from Christophe Lemaire and Sarah-Linh Tran and the pictures are lovely enough, but very simply styled. I can make out some fab chunky rib knits but that’s about it. Apparently there are also jackets and outerwear but I guess we’ll have to wait until the collection drops in October to get a closer look. Fashionista has all the info.
4. TOPSHOP LAUNCHES THE ARCHIVE COLLECTION
Years ago I asked Topshop about visiting their archive and they shuffled and mumbled a little, before admitting that it wasn’t very neat and organised – i.e. not fit for prying eyes. They must have had a wee tidy since though, because last week saw the launch of the TOPSHOP Archive – 33 limited edition pieces resuscitated from the 50-year history of the British brand.
