Buy it now: Charlotte Tilbury Norman Parkinson collection

My personal favourite from the Charlotte Tilbury Norman Parkinson collection has to be the Matte Revolution lipstick in 1975 Red. It’s a great ‘colour-pop’ shade; well pigmented, beautifully formulated (matte but non-drying) and in stunning weighty golden packaging, so I think it’s worth the spendy £23 price.

This collection has had lots of online love already but essentially it’s a very British celebration of one of our best loved photographers, using his recognisable 1970s fashion imagery to decorate some special limited edition products. If the idea of having this super-glam photography decorating your blushers and illuminators appeals, then now is the time to snap up the Dreamy Glow Highlighter (£45) and the Colour of Youth Lip and Cheek Glow (£40).

The prices are high, but Charlotte Tilbury has pitched herself as a British competitor to Tom Ford, Chanel and the like. And you can’t fault her creativity in coming up with marketing concepts like this. In fact, the story to this range is a lovely, organic one – check out the video which explains how the collaboration came about between Tilbury and the Norman Parkinson estate…

The Charlotte Tilbury Norman Parkinson collection is now available exclusively at CharlotteTilbury.com, Selfridges (W1, Birmingham & Manchester) & Selfridges.com. It will also be available from August 2015 at Net-a-Porter.com, Brown Thomas (Dublin), Harvey Nichols (Leeds) & Fenwick Bond Street.
