Buy it now: COS activewear

COS active parka

I’m trying not to write endless lockdown posts but…its hard! While it’s doom and gloom for a lot of sectors, I imagine there’s going to be an upswing in workout and cycling-wear upstarts and collections.

I’ve never been a gym person but I’ve found myself doing almost-daily stretching and barrecore videos (Rod on Psycle Instagram Live is my fave) and even quite enjoying them.

COS has a head start with its new COS Active collection*. It’s a mix of recycled fabrics and seamless designs (I guess they produce less waste?) alongside techno performance fabrics. I’m actually not big on stretchy activewear (leggings – ugh!), so I’m gravitating towards the Prada-esque parka, the cropped engineered jacket and the classic grey hoodlie.

Buy them here*.

P.s. if you’re into cycle stuff, then check out my friend Jacqui’s cycle bag company, Goodordering. She is also now selling these nifty reusable handmade masks.

NOW CLICK BELOW TO SHOP THE POST. (I MAY EARN A COMMISSION ON THE BASKET VALUE OF ITEMS BOUGHT*)…

The MET Museum Costume Institute exhibition About Time Fashion and Duration
“I always thought that fashion is really just another name for time, so I wanted to do an exhibition that was a meditation on fashion and temporality. I feel that fashion at the moment is grappling with ephemerality and impermanence and I thought that drawing out the tensions – between change and endurance and transience and permanence and persistence – might be a nice way to create more of a consciousness about fashion going forward.”

The Met Museum’s Costume Institute exhibition, About Time: Fashion and Duration, has been pushed back from Monday 4th May to October 29th in a sad but sensible Coronavirus-impacted move. (more…)

Fantasy shopping: Berluti Home

Berluti Home by Kris Van Assche

Fantasy home office shopping is my new favourite thing. Especially from Berluti’s uber-swank homewares line. Kris Van Assche has done a great job curating an array of design classics reimagined in Berluti’s famous leather colours and patinas. From chairs to desk-cessories, each piece is a lesson in age-old crafts. (more…)

Into this: Emily Adams Bode’s abode

Emily Bode Architectural Digest

Top of my dream interiors list this month is the abode of Emily Adams Bode (of Bode patchwork jackets fame) and Aaron Aujla in Architectural Digest. All warm wood panelling and rustic textiles, it’s a very cosy iteration of Bode’s fashion brand that won the CFDA’s 2019 Emerging Designer of the Year Award.

My eye went straight to the doodled corduroy sofa and wood pannelled bathroom (more…)
