Hello sunshine! Finally, the sweaters are boots are off and my toes can bask in the warmth of summer. Can there be a better feeling? To celebrate, I’ve cracked open the Church’s Henrika sandals that have been sat in a box for 2 months. That’s the problem with buying summer things in London, you’re never quite sure you’ll get to wear them. I’m all about nostalgic flat sandals this year and the Church’s are a brilliant buy. This week’s issue of The Edit from Net-a-Porter is all about lo-fi luxe. I always find it hard to define what my ‘personal style’ is but lo-fi luxe is certainly a good way to describe part of it. I like things that are comfortable and casual but I also appreciate quality and beauty. The Motorola StarTAC revisited

Anyone for a retro mobile? Polaroids and Fujifilm Instax cameras are having a moment, and mobile phones could be next. I remember reading about the Motorola StarTAC in US Vogue in the mid-90s and being desperate for one – at the time they retailed for £1400. Fast forward a couple of decades and they’re all but extinct thanks to the all-singing-all-dancing beasts from Apple and Samsung. (more…)
