Some more ss12 ad campaigns I like

These aren’t the high profile ones, just some more under-the-radar ones that I really like…

Margaret Howell by Koto Bolofo – a celebration of the brand’s core products, this shot of Marique Schimmel in a classic man’s dress shirt indirectly reminds me of Tilda Swinton modelling the AW10 Pringle menswear collection.

Joseph – don’t know who shot this but I like the clothes and the expression – and slightly cinematic quality of black & white photography

Longchamp with Coco Rocha and a Weimaraner. I thought this looked like an Arthur Elgort photo but it’s by Dane Shitagi. Love all the colours

Radley starring Laura Bailey in her own clothes, styled by Katie Hillier. I’m not generally a Radley fan but I love Laura Bailey’s look and what they have done with this campaign

High spec high street ad campaigns: River Island

Topshop, H&M, Mango, they’re all at it with their boldface photographers and supermodel ad campaigns. Latest to join Josh Olins, Terry Richardson et al in the high street ad campaigns camp is Ellen Von Unwerth for River Island. (more…)

Guest post: How to be a Bruce Weber beauty by Kay Montano

Mulberry SS12 campaign

I will never get bored of kitsch, oversized props and girls in ankle socks and wedges so Mulberry’s SS12 campaign is right up my street. Creative direction by Ronnie Cooke Newhouse, photos by Tim Walker (obv), props by Andy Hillman and all round fabulosity by Frida Gustavsson and Lindsey Wixson. (Check out the behind-the-scenes pics too…) FUN! (more…)
