One of my oldest shoots, these pictures* were taken on a freezing November day in an Epping airfield. I don’t remember the exact year, but definitely over ten years ago. LCF sent me its MA fashion journalism newspaper last week and I couldn’t put down Rebecca Tuite’s story about the ‘Vassar Girl’ look (the female Ivy League look, if you will). The Vassar Girl look was epitomised by an unofficial uniform of Bermuda shorts, Brooks Brothers shirts, twinsets, Shetland sweaters, loafers and knee socks. (more…)
Love em, hate em, whatever, they’ll be around for a while. Brothel creepers that is. Joe Casely-Hayford has updated the cult John Moore boots for SS11, adding a small creeper sole to add an inch of height, while Prada’s SS11 chunky ‘flatform’ creeper-esque shoes tipped them into the mainstream.
