Jeepers creepers
Love em, hate em, whatever, they’ll be around for a while. Brothel creepers that is. Joe Casely-Hayford has updated the cult John Moore boots for SS11, adding a small creeper sole to add an inch of height, while Prada’s SS11 chunky ‘flatform’ creeper-esque shoes tipped them into the mainstream. Nicola Formichetti enlisted Underground Shoes to make his creepers for the Thierry Mugler AW11 show, and check out my use of Underground Shoes’ creepers in the shoot I did for Reiss last year…

My first pair were exactly like the ones in the last photo & made by Robot – I think they had a shop in London.

I’m sorry, but the Prada version just look like overpriced & glorified orthopedic/nurses’ shoes. If I had the money to afford them I would much rather use it to buy a pair of one of Miucca’s prettier designs!

I had posted a while ago, “Jeepers Creepers” ( an expression of my american bringing up) . I sooo wanted to buy a pair for myself…couldn’t find anything in Paris that would suit my love for creepers coming from my high school years…now, everyone’s on it, and found Noir Kennedy shop in the Marais, which has the underground ones… I do love Prada’s sophisticated take on this in color, but would love another black sleek version for winter!

The Prada ones are kind of hideous. Love the red ones in the Reiss shoot though x

I would love to have a pair of these shoes. At least you know cost per wear would be good as they aren’t high heels!
