Buy it now: Victoria Beckham X Estée Lauder beauty

I won’t lie, I wasn’t expecting to be wowed by Victoria Beckham x Estée Lauder. The limited edition beauty collection (which lands in stores today) has had loads of press and the ad campaigns have appeared in magazines already. Not to mention VB’s appearance on the cover of Vogue in which her make-up is incredible.

If you like Tom Ford’s make-up line, then there are shades of that in terms of the packaging and overall luxe aesthetic. I’m sure VB wouldn’t mind a slice of his profits either. (Spoiler: the prices are ~~posh~~ premium. think £48 for a bronzer ans £36 for lipsticks.) This collection consists of four ‘looks’ with 15 pieces overall. They’re divided into cities (London, L.A, Paris, New York) with a glowy, neutrals look for L.A and a dark-eyed rock chic look for London.

I haven’t tried the collection, but I expect standout items to be the Brazilian Nude lipstick, the Morning Aura Illuminating Creme (a moisturiser-slash-brightening-primer) and the eye shadows. The six-shade eye shadow palette below can be used wet or dry and features pearlised pigments for an illuminating texture. Really Ree has more deets and swatches here.

This collection is expected to sell out swiftly (and I imagine lots will end up on eBay at thrice the price). It’s available today exclusively at Selfridges, Bergdorf Goodman, esteelauder.com and victoriabeckham.com, and worldwide from October 1st.

UPDATE: Intel from Estee Lauder says that the lipsticks and Modern Mercury highlighter are current bestsellers. This is echoed by Selfridges who tell me that the highlighting products in the collection are selling exceptionally well.
