Gucci ad campaign SS16 by Glen Luchford
You know a designer’s doing well when they polarise industry opinion so strongly. Personally I’m still loving Alessandro Michele at Gucci, especially the semi-wasted dreamy vibe of this ss16 Gucci ad campaign, shot by Glen Luchford in Berlin.
The Wes Anderson-ification of fashion in general, and Gucci in particular, continues with these kooky, retro-fused character studies acting out youthful melodramas. But at the end of the day, does it make you want to buy the clothes accessories? Hell yes, those spangly spectacles and bejewelled rings are calling out to me…
UPDATE: The video just landed. Gawky, gangly models a-gogo! (Well you try running in those mules…)
