1. COS X SERPENTINE GALLERIES
COS is marking its collab with the Serpentine Galleries with a special pair of shoes. Digging through the archive, it has reworked a classic Oxford with a stepped in back, with sales revenue donated to the Serpentine Trust. A good enough reason to invest, no? Buy them online or at the Regent street store…
2. NAME TO KNOW: GOSHA RUBCHINSKIY
Expect to hear lots more of young Russian brand-builder Gosha Rubchinskiy, who just showed his SS15 menswear for the first time in Paris. The streetwear designer has a cult following for his multi-media output that includes fashion design, photography, video, books and an in-house fanzine. And he’s also championed by the likes of early supporters Colette and Comme des Garçons (who handles his production and distribution). I liked his cartoony graphics and awkward pulled-up-high trouser silhouette – I think guys are ready for something different …
3. RAF SIMONS X ADIDAS STAN SMITHS
Good luck getting your hands on these men’s Raf Simons X Adidas Stan Smiths, which landed at Colette three days ago (what is it with Raf and radioactive orange?). They’re probably long gone already but word has it Dover Street Market London will get a shipment for mid July…
4. MANSUR GAVRIEL LAUNCHES ECOMMERCE
Talk about being a victim of your own success. Mansur Gavriel’s insanely popular vegetable-tanned leather bags finally have their own ecom site. It launched last week and promptly crashed under the weight of eager Mansur maniacs. The good news is the site is back up and running (and it does look gorgeous). The bad news is everything – and I mean everything – is now sold out…
