I’ll never get bored of seeing how things are made, especially with campaigns like this. Once more, Margaret Howell has worked with Koto Bolofo (surely one of the most poetic of photographers, if I may gush so), commissioning him to shoot at a specialist linen weaver in County Wexford, Ireland, underscoring the brand’s dedication to traditional fabrics and quality production… (more…)

Models from Elsewhere: Andrea Lindstrom
When I started this project, ‘Models From Elsewhere’, I pictured model apartments decorated with family mementos. Maybe knick-knacks on mantlepieces or photos tacked to a wall. But no, the reality is that models, by their nomadic nature, don’t have lots of possessions, they keep their photos as most Gen Y-ers do – inside their phones and laptops. Instead they have wearable keepsakes; in the case of Andrea Lindstrom from Union Models, jewellery, perfume, and her brothers’ sweatshirts. (more…)

AW13 trend report: Mich Dulce’s banana-fibre hats
How cheery are Mich Dulce’s new millinery pics from her AW13 look book? I spotted these darling hats on her stand at London Fashion Week in February, where Michelle told me about about the sustainable methods they’re made from. (They’re handmade from traditional Filipino T’nalak fabric, handwoven by women who Michelle trains as part of a social enterprise scheme.) (more…)
