Trend alert: SS12 – Prints get punchier
Something tells me that punchy, head-to-toe prints will be the new colour-block come SS12. Taking the lead from Prada ss11, we have seen extreme, colourful prints from three highly influential brands: Celine resort ss12, Preen resort ss12 and Prada menswear ss12. Colourful print is a super-easy trend to translate to all levels of the high street. I’m especially excited to see it used in menswear as I think men are prepared to take a few more risks with fashion now. In particular, the silk neckerchiefs at Prada are a gently effective way for fashion-shy men to ease into playful pattern and colour.

From what I’ve seen so far of Prada menswear, it is amazing! I am so excited to see their next womenswear collection! Think you’re definitely right about the print trend. Especially loving Stella McCartney’s use of houndstooth! Amelia x
