London Fashion week SS12 Day 6 highlights
JW Anderson’s jarring colour combinations. His menswear was not dissimilar to his womenswear, so his new loafer-trainer hybrid (made by Aldo) put in a repeat appearance
Required daily reading: LFW’s The Daily, which has gone all high tech with its fancy Aurasma app and Mr Porter’s paper
Mr Porter bikes – this company sure known how to do smart branding
Christopher Shannon’s creative comb-work
An assured debut MAN show by my Peroni Collaborazioni collaborator Shaun Samson, featuring needle punched Mexican blankets that bled into shirts and denim separates
Lunch from Kastner & Ovens next door to the Royal Opera House – AKA the best takeaway quiches and salads in WC2
The Aquascutum menswear presentation where Joanna Sykes told me that there are plans afoot to open up the archives. Yay!
Raspberry-hued foulard-print silk pyjamas and loafers at Topman Design… wouldn’t they look lovely with Sebastian Tarek‘s bespoke Derby shoes? This shade of rose pink is achieved without dye but by an artisanal technique of forcing layers of polish into untreated leather, allowing the colour to develop
Sibling’s TV head presentation
Agi & Sam‘s masterful, technicolour collection. This duo clash colours and print with a fearless eye
Mywardrobe’s Equipment blouse, kindly on loan to me for London Fashion Week…

Wow, SS12 is definitely full of colour, no doubt. I love how brave some of these outfits are, and how innovative.
