Vans go wild
These YSL Vans-style shoes are all sorts of fabulous. Back in their hey day, Vans were quite often produced in the maddest, campest prints and colours, it all went with the punk-surf territory. But YSL aren’t the first to do a punk-luxe skate shoe – remember the Giles Deacon Bottega Venetas of 2000? Introducing Browns’ ‘Melissa’ handbag (and some other nan bags I’m eyeballing)
During my recent two-day residency at Browns, alongside the Club Monaco knits and Celine sunglasses, I couldn’t help cuddling a particular little lady-bag in pebbled grey leather. On Louis Vuitton, Peter Beard and mood board moments
Contrary to Tom Ford’s ‘keep it exclusive’ stance, it’s becoming more common for fashion followers to expect a preview of the new collections in some form or other. We already have the pre-show behind-the-scenes tweets (Pat McGrath is single handedly killing it with her menswear show tweets this week), but I’m also loving the revealing of the mood board – as seen in yesterday’s piece by Suzy Menkes on Kim Jones’ first collection for Louis Vuitton.
