Bobbi Brown newness: Extra Lip Tint

Bobbi Brown Extra Lip Tint new colours

Despite the deluge of new makeup brands, the likes of Huda Beauty, Kat Von D and Kylie Cosmetics just don’t appeal to me. Either there’s something about the founders that puts me off (I simply don’t get Huda Kattan and that Youtuber make-up look), the marketing is too aggressive or the products themselves are too much for my liking. I really prefer less is more makeup with the odd push in a more adventurous direction. So I guess that’s why I always return to Bobbi Brown and Chanel. (Newness-wise I guess I’m more of a Westman Atelier girl, when is it coming to the UK?!)

These new additions to the OG Bobbi Brown Extra Lip Tint are perfect and weirdly, I don’t think I’ve seen them in stick form from other brands. Obviously lots of brands do tinted lip balms but they’re usually in a pot or a tube. Or they’re more of a moisturising sheer-finish lipstick than balm.

I love and still use the original Bare Pink version, a balm stick containing moisturing oils and vitamins that adjusts to your own lip colour to give a – cliché alert! – ‘your lips but better’ effect. Now Bobbi Brown has realeased a load of juicy new tinted shades, including Bare Raspberry, Bare Punch and Bare Melon. I have Bare Raspberry and I honestly love how easy and flattering it is. I fancy Bare Punch next.

These are super-convenient to use and the shade range is perfect for Bobbi aficionados; classic, suit-all colours that won’t date. They’re £25.50 at Bobbi Brown, John Lewis & Partners and ASOS.
