Positive fashion: Milena Silvano
Take cover people, we’re being threatened with a second coming of the Beast from The East. Or maybe just cast your eye in the direction of Milena Silvano. This Somerset-based brand just appeared on Vogue.com, showcasing its rustic reversible jackets made from vintage and deadstock patchworked shearling.
I like the soft, casual structure of these shapes that lend themselves to layering, yet could also be dressed up with a bit of Keith Richards swagger over a silk blouse, Isabel Marant-esque fatigues and heeled boots. I also like the brand’s blog, Women & Sheepskin, which documents some of the fabulously arty wearers of these jackets and their creative stories…
