Save the date: The Museum of Everything arrives at Selfridges

Selfridges is known for its big themed extravaganzas but for me it has gone off the boil in recent years. I supposed with everyone competing to do super-exciting events all the time, it’s hard to keep that edge. Well whatever, they’ve come up with a great one this time. The Museum of Everything has chosen Selfridges for its fourth exhibition and Selfridges has added a fashiony twist.

From 2nd September to 25th October, James Brett’s Museum of Everything will take over the main and Orchard Street windows and the Ultra Lounge exhibition space of the London flagship store to show over 200 works of ‘outsider art’. The fashion bit? A selection of merchandise sold in The Wonder Room including ‘Project 6’, a capsule collection by Clements Ribeiro and an exclusive shoe collaboration from Tracey Neuls, both incorporating work from the artists.

When I went to the last Museum of Everything (co-curated by Peter Blake) it was jam-packed and an absolute joy to behold. Roll on September 2nd – I can’t wait to see Clements Ribeiro’s shift dress with lips print by Tom Wagener in the flesh…

…and Tracey Neuls lace-ups using Dan Miller’s scribbly text print…
