Despite my minimalist leanings I can’t deny we’re heading for a maximalist revival. Vintage Versace’s all the rage, Prada’s ‘pop baroque’ curlicues are all over the shop and the return of Ab Fab means ‘darling, it’s Lacroix’ can once again be an acceptable exclamation. (more…)

Vans go wild




These YSL Vans-style shoes are all sorts of fabulous. Back in their hey day, Vans were quite often produced in the maddest, campest prints and colours, it all went with the punk-surf territory. But YSL aren’t the first to do a punk-luxe skate shoe – remember the Giles Deacon Bottega Venetas of 2000? Electric pink and black leopard print canvas with clutch bags to match – ah yes, I remember them well. (more…)
