THE DRG STYLE INDEX: VALEXTRA, TOO COOL FOR SCHOOL, THE ESTEE EDIT, TENGRI
Here’s the latest weekly DRG STYLE INDEX ranking, a round-up of the brands currently buzzing on my radar…
1. VALEXTRA OPENS IN MOUNT STREET
Joining Moynat, Loewe and J & M Davidson, the newest luxury leathergoods label to come to Mount Street is Valextra. If you prefer clean lines and a colour pop palette to bells and whistles, then this is for you…
2. TOO COOL FOR SCHOOL
If you’ve not heard much about beauty brand Too Cool for School, get ready to hear a lot about it. It has just opened a flagship store in New York, stocking some of its subsidiary lines including the cute graphic Dinoplatz (above). Formulated in Korea, but based in the States, Too Cool for School epitomises the wave of K-Beauty brands responsible for our multi-step beauty regimes. As BeautyMART’s Anna-Marie Solowij explains, it’s the combo of cute packaging, innovative products and superb, high quality formulations that make up the magic formula.
3. THE ESTÉE EDIT COMES TO CARNABY STREET
The Kendall connection must have paid off, Estée Lauder’s The Estée Edit is set to open in Carnaby Street. It opens next month selling both The Estée Edit and Estée Lauder products.
4. TENGRI’S CASHMERE ALTERNATIVE
Thank you The Wife Journal for bringing fairtrade Tengri knitwear to my attention. Super-soft, sustainable yak wool is sourced in Mongolia, woven and spun in Yorkshire and made in Scotland. I especially love these chunky cable handknits, that are undyed so all come in beautiful natural shades of yak. Buy them from Tengri or Wolf and Badger.
