Net-a-Porter embraces repairs
Well, this is good news.
Following from my post a couple of weeks ago, Net-a-Porter* is embracing the repair revolution with a new aftercare service. It’s joining forces with The Seam to offer repair and alteration services for clothing and aftercare for handbags, footwear and jewellery bought through the UK site. (Mr Porter and The Outnet customers can enjoy the services this spring.)
It’s a slow service – 7-10 days – which can involve a personal visit for alterations measurements. Prices are reflective in this as befits the affluent Net-a-Porter customer. But great news to encourage meaningful shopping and cut down on returns.
I must also give a shout out to Enna who recommended Hul le Kes following my post. The designers Sjaak Hullekes and Sebastiaan Kramer offer a life-extending dyeing, boro and mending service from their Netherlands recovery studio.
Keep the recs coming!
