Buy it now: Leica Sofort instant camera
It turns out Mr DRG and I were both thinking of getting each other the new Leica Sofort instant camera for Christmas. Clearly a sign we should buy one and share it. This is the camera for the person who has everything – rather unnecessary but lots of fun and very good-looking.
I tried one out last night at a Mr Porter Christmas event. If you’ve ever tried a Polaroid or a Fujifilm instant camera, you’ll know how addictive this is. In the age of camera phones it’s even exotic, which I realise sounds preposterous coming from a child of the seventies eighties. You can either use Fuji Instax Mini film or special Leica film which has a different quality to the pictures.
These have just hit the shops and are available from Selfridges, Nordstrom, Harrison, The Photographers’ Gallery (around £229), and the Leica shops*. And soon Harrods, Jessops, Mr Porter and Net-a-Porter. Read more here.
