Gentlewoman style: Rika Studios
Jennifer Alfano published a fab interview with Rika Studios founder Ulrika Lundgren a few weeks ago, which I missed first time round.
It reminded me what a great, underexposed brand this is, the underexposure possibly intentional. Rika Studios is deliberately a small brand, working with handpicked suppliers to produce specific pieces, such as a sweater collab with Inez and Vinoodh, loafers by Terra and these lush leather bags and belts by Susan Szatmáry.
I’ve always liked the aesthetics of the brand – one of the OG Scandi-luxe crew – including its excellent magazines. If you want ideas for simple, ‘gentlewoman style’ pieces, or even just ideas to style stuff you own already, check out their site here, and Jennifer’s piece here. Jennifer is also featured in her pick of the collection here – I love these shorts!

This interview with Ulrika Lundgren reminded me of how often we overlook unique brands that focus on quality and individuality. Rika Studios stands out for its careful approach to design and collaboration, creating pieces that inspire new looks and rethinking your existing wardrobe.
