This week on Cocosa…

…there’s a clearance sale. I know! I have already chosen my top picks on Cocosa.com(sign up with invite code ‘Disneyrollergirl’ to see my choices as June’s guest editor) and they include Luella’s cat-eye sunnies for £45 and a Graeme Black dress for *gasp* £99. (more…)

Jason Wu’s latest creation

A fashion blogger is nothing without a digital camera, so it makes sense that camera manufacturers are hooking up with fashion brands and designers. While I’d love an Hermes Leica purely for aesthetic value, they’re not digital and they’re not cheap (approx £8000).

Enter designer Jason Wu’s collaboration with General Imaging. The ‘Create’ camera comes in an array of colours, has a built-in USB plug for instant uploading and costs a reasonable $179 (UK availability imminent).

Quote of the day

“Steven Meisel shot me for British Vogue in 1994. Then he asked me to go and shoot the Versace campaign. I thought it was going to be me and a few other grungy girls – instead I found myself with Linda Evangelista. Then I went to Milan for the Versace show. Gianni Versace stopped the music mid-rehearsal and said, ‘Who is that?’ They cancelled me immediately.”

London College of Fashion: Karishma Shahani

Congratulations to new fashion graduate Karishma Shahani, who won the Fashion Textiles award at last night’s London College of Fashion BA (Hons) Fashion Design and Technology show. She also won the Disneyrollergirl Fave LCF Show award (yep, I totally made that up) for superb styling and use of colour. Gotta love those clashy layers!
