Paper, Scissors, Glue
When I went to the opening of Blitz London back in September, they asked me if I’d like to work on an in-store installation. So last week I assembled a giant size version of one of my scrapbooks on their wall, along with some choice pieces of their vintage stock. I had Italy on the brain, hence the Paninaro-ish denim and bright sweatshirting along with Versace-esque scarf prints, downplayed with a bit of army surplus.
I have also loaned some of my 20-odd year old scrapbooks to make the display more interactive. Have a look if you’re down Brick Lane way (Blitz is at 55-59 Hanbury Street E1, opposite the Atlantis art supply warehouse). It’s there for another 3 weeks.

Ah I wish I was closer so I could come see it in person. I love a good scrapbook. I found one of my old ones tucked away in storage and it was a blast looking through it.

Thanks for the comments, yes still do the scrapbooking, although the books are so knackered I had to gaffer-tape the spines. Sarah, it does have a little bit of the Supermarket Sarahs about it doesn’t it?!
