Classic summer sale steals from Net-a-Porter

If you thought classic things never go in the sale, you can think again. And you can thank me later for trawling through Net-a-Porter‘s 457,805 sale inventory*. For starters, if you’re in the market for a classic one-piece for your summer getaway, I love the look of Mikoh’s khaki swimsuit here (now £108). Accessorise with Miu Miu’s coordinating cat-eye sunnies (now £114).

Saint Laurent has a fair few classics going, including this multi-tasking city-to-beach tote (now £315) and my dream snakeskin-look boots (now £405). For a Burberry trench with a difference, this one is a lightweight silk-wool blend and has discreet gold embroidery (it’s now 40% off at £957, buy it here). On to knitwear: you cant go wrong with a little red sweater, such as this slightly-on-the-loose-side cashmere knit from Rag & Bone (now £207). And shirt-wise, this tunic-shaped number from Protagonist (now £306) all but sums up the decade with its oversized proportions and stiff cuffs.

Alas, no Gucci loafers in the sale, so these tasselled black ones from J. Crew will have to do. They’re £174 and will be a great companion to camel shorts, ankle crop cigarette pants and denim minis. If you prefer something sportier, then I love these Nike Air Pegasus trainers in red and pink, now £39.
