How to get Bridget Hall cheeks

Bridget Hall beauty using Kevyn aucoin

When I think of Kevyn Aucoin, I think mid-90s Bridget Hall, no make-up make-up and tawny, cream-blush cheeks. And – how timely – that’s exactly the beauty look that’s blowing up big for Spring.

It’s a gently groomed look that’s not age-centric and it’s one that lends itself to lazy-asses, with lots of cream formulations and neutral shades. Kevyn Aucoin’s The Creamy Glow Duo in #1 Nuelle/Bloodroses is brilliant. It’s a two-shade compact that can be used on lips and cheeks and can even be used as a subtle contour.

The pigmentation in this is insane. You only need one fingertip per cheek (literally just show the fingertip to the pan), blended below the apples to emphasise bone structure. It last hours and feels non greasy. Even better, I discovered that the same dusty rose shade works dabbed on lips with the same finger, over lip balm and under my favourite sheer Chanel lip gloss. Add a teeny sweep of Bobbi Brown cocoa eye shadow, barely there Clinique mascara and perhaps a short red nail if needed. Job done!
