SS12 trend report: H&M
News just in from H&M. Spring sees a revamp of its longstanding 18-28 plus size collection, with the previously named Big Is Beautiful range being rebranded as H&M+. The SS12 collection is heavy on nautical stripes, white shirts and everyday basics like this loosely tailored coat…
The mainline H&M collection is backing peplums, citrus brights, a continuing Versace influence (Versace For H&M Cruise drops on 19th January online) and lots of sporty styling. Personally, I’m loving the modish trend for light framed sunglasses with dark lenses and these bright chinos which I think are for men but would look lovely on a long-limbed girl. The sporty rubber coat is a favourite of H&M’s Head of Design, Ann-Sofie Johansson and is a great all-season allrounder…
Finally, some pics I took at the SS12 press day in November – the H&M press day is a bit of a strange one as quite often some of the pieces shown are already in store – well that’s fast fashion for you!

Those shoes are SO nice! And of course they won’t have a size 10/41. Because they never do!
