Future Classics Black Label
My resolution for next year is to be a bit braver with colour and print. I used to love layering busy Kenzo-type prints but over the years I’ve got lazier and more classic in what I wear. This year, fashion has truly been ‘Bubbled’, with Susie Bubble‘s clashy colour-meets-print-meets-texture influence reaching far and wide and well into 2012.
I’m especially taken with all the print-on-print trouser suits and mismatched tailoring. Future Classics, a label rooted in twisted jersey basics, is celebrated its 10 year anniversary with Future Classics Black Label – a studied mish mash of graphic dresses, leggings and blazers with prints designed in house by Future Classics’ Julie Wilkins.
In my fantasy life I would ease into this by wearing the floral blazer with one of my well-loved (ok, practically threadbare) Bretons tucked into my classic Levis Made & Crafted chino jeans, plus an Hermes scarf and snakeskin heels. Let the colour collision commence…
