Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess 2017
The arrival of the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess collection is like a ‘summer’s coming!’ klaxon. It’s a combo of fragrance, shimmering skin oils, bronzing powders, make-up and body moisturisers that are delivered in hyper-glam packaging. And the cherry in the cocktail is a very distinctive tropical-floral fragrance that’s an instant mood-transporter to exotic climes.
This summer’s collection arrived a couple of weeks ago and I can tell you without exaggeration that the new Bronze Goddess eau de parfum (above centre) will not stick around. Firstly because it’s a beautiful sensuous tropical-floral and secondly because people are crazy for this range and buy it in bulk.
The Bronze Goddess Shimmering Oil and Body Spray (above right) is equally intoxicating. I spray this on as soon as we get our first mini heat wave of the year (which happened to be this week) to give my arms a beachy shimmer and just to revel in the scent. It’s become a cult classic – floral, fruity and laced with a little vanilla and coconut. What a shame you can’t drink it. It’s also great layered over the Whipped Body Cream, a beautifully rich cream that comes in an equally luxe tub.
The smellies are the things that get me excited, but also part of the collection are the Summer Look Palette (a bronzing multi-palette, bottom) and Illuminating Powder Gelee (very glow-y, below). The lipstick is the Summer Lip Glow in SunBlush – a hydrating, vitamin-enriched formula that’s a bit too gold-toned for my colouring but no doubt great for balmy holiday evenings.

Officially, the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess collection is available exclusively from House of Fraser this month, with a national launch for all Estée Lauder counters and Esteelauder.co.uk from June 2017. However, it looks like it’s already available on a few websites and I can see it on Estee Lauder UK here so I’d advise you not to hang around…
