Introducing Chanel No. 5 Eau Première in a new bottle (plus Chanel’s beyond fab ceramic blotter charms)

Chanel No. 5 Eau Première, the lighter, fresher version of Chanel No. 5 has just been upgraded to join its big sister in the classic Place Vendôme-shaped spray bottle. (See this is what I love about Chanel. It has always utilised its house codes in clever, original ways, Place Vendome being the address of The Ritz where Coco Chanel lived for 30 years.)

And talking of house codes, at the tea party launch last Thursday, the scent was sprayed on teeny flat ceramic camellia and bottle charms. And of course we all went nuts for them. (By ‘we’, I do of course mean British Beauty Blogger.) Did you know that ceramic holds a fragrance better than those little paper blotters you usually get? And obv you can keep them, which when it comes to Chanel is a big bonus.

Here’s me at the tea party, and a sneak peek at Chanel’s box of magic tricks, which contains teeny amounts of the oils used in Chanel fragrances. So rare are some ingredients that each wee bottle is worth a small fortune…

With a further nod to the house codes, the new Chanel No. 5 Eau Première EDP spray is launched today (in 50ml and 100ml), which is of course the 5th of the 5th. Nice touch! Buy it here
