Fresh face: Greta Hofer

I’m out of the loop when it comes to new model faces. But the Prada SS21 show featured all runway newbies and one in particular stood out. Greta Hofer has an air of Natalie Portman about her, combined with the garconne vibe of 90s Jeny Howorth and Y2K Agyness Deyn. A free-spirited Austrian, the gamine crop came not from a model agent’s suggestion but on a whim, administered by her own fair scissorhands in the middle of the night.

It’s a refreshing change from the fake beauty of Instagram and TikTok influencers, who start off looking equally fresh-faced, then acquire a uniform filler-face. In the 2000s it was boob jobs, now it’s lip jobs. Could Hofer spearhead a post-Covid beauty step change?
