What Marc said

Marc Jacobs AW20

“Part of our experience as fashion people, as creators, as designers, as editors, is that there’s a huge creative process which involves everything from meeting people – new girls, models, photographers – and creating. And creating isn’t done in a vacuum or a bubble. It might be done in the bubble of our world, our fashion world, but it’s the stimulation of the entire world that is the catalyst that gives us the drive and the energy and the passion to create.”

This Marc Jacobs candid explainer on how the fashion industry works and how he is grieving our old ways of working in the ‘new normal’ just made me fall back in love with him after 20 years. (P.S, I’m loving Edward Enninful as his therapist in Vogue’s new Zoom series.)
