London Fashion Week AW11: Day 1 highlights
The coldest fashion week I can remember had me trussed up in knitted layers and Woolrich extreme weatherwear. Despite the biting chill, there was a positive feeling in the air. My highlights included Prophetik’s eco-meets-equestrian menswear, the patent red lips at Jean-Pierre Braganza, funny sunnies at Linda Farrow, catching up with Yang Du (whose collection featured meticulously-finished knitted elephants), and finally diarising a tentative date for the Mawi shop opening (17th March behind Shoreditch Church). Plus, seeing Siouxie Sioux at the Vivienne Westwood party – who may or may not have chased after a canape tray for me. What will tomorrow bring?
