A shirt made for you
I’m in the process of having some bespoke shirts made and the decision making is a minefield! A good one though. When you can have anything you want, the smallest detail counts. Shirt fabric – fine and silk-like or thick and starchy? Plain or striped? Monogrammed? Collar – deep and regal or shallow and casual? Length – are you going to tuck in or leave out? Sleeves – fashionably oversized or just right?
I haven’t had anything bespoke made before (oh, apart from these) so the experience is quite thrilling. But I’ve had custom jeans made and the results were excellent. And very spoiling – there’s definitely a sense of ‘how can I go back to off the peg’ afterwards.

Lucky you! I would have one made in thick, white, lustrous cotton with French cuffs and a fitted body, so I could tuck it in. Oh, concealed buttons. Ok, this is just replicating one I had many years ago. It was the goods.
