Made in France: Landline and La Botte Gardiane

Landline Paris store

Two gorgeous French discoveries to share. One I found via the comments section of the New York Times story on the closure of Brooklyn’s Bird boutique, directing me to Landline in Paris (above). The store doesn’t even have a website yet (it’s it in the works), but its few Instagram posts give you a good sense of its rustic ‘garconne’ offer.

I’m getting the vibe of a French Labour & Wait, where you can pick up traditional French boater hats by Chapellerie Coustillères, classic country knits and Marseille soaps in a nod to nostalgia and safety. The VM is beautiful of course. See more here and visit at 107 Ave Parmentier, 75011 Paris, France.

The Landline Instagram then led me to La Botte Gardiane, an artisan boot company where I spotted my holy grail cowboy boots. These Santiago boots have the perfect heel height, toe shape and boot height and you can customise the colour. The downside is I never have any luck buying boots online, so I would need to engineer a trip to Paris When All This Is Over. But hey, what better excuse?
